Edith Morrison

Edith Morrison, 85, of Campton, passed away Friday, December 17, 2010, at the Laconia Genesis Eldercare Center, in Laconia, after a lengthy illness.Born in Campton, NH, on May 13, 1925, she was the daughter of Ellison and Eunice (Wilkie) Morrison. Edith was raised and attended schools in Campton. Upon graduating High School she entered the field of Nursing and joined the U.S. Navy where she served her country with honor and pride as a pharmacist's assistant / nurse.After her service she returned to Campton, and worked for the Speare Memorial Hospital, in Plymouth, as a nurse for many years.Edith is survived by her two nephews, Ronnie Morrison, of Campton, and Donald Elliott, of Montana; a niece, Deborah Elliott, of Lancaster, NH; and many dear friends in the greater Campton community.Memorials:Donations may be made in Edith's memory to a charity of one's choice.Service:A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, in the Riverside Cemetery, of Plymouth, at 11:00 am.
