Edgar Ervin Ballou, 83, of Kelley Pond Road, died suddenly at Lakes Region General Hospital, in Laconia, NH.
Born in New Hampton on June 29, 1932, he was the son of Carl and Jella (LaFlame) Ballou.
Edgar grew up in New Hampton and attended New Hampton schools. He has been a resident of New Hampton most all his life.
Edgar has worked most all his life in the New Hampton area as a self-employed mason.
Edgar loved the outdoors, fishing and telling stories.
Edgar was a US Army veteran and had served during the Korean war.
Edgar is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Lorene M. (Duclos) Ballou of New Hampton, NH., his children, Julie Ballou of Tilton, Carl Ballou of Meredith, NH., Ronald Ballou, Tammy Wilkins, Joseph Ballou, all of New Hampton, NH., Hope Hurd of Meredith, NH., Mark Ballou of Bristol, NH., and Elizabeth Rugar of Campton, NH., twenty-three grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
