Duane L. "Butch" Smith, 67, of Bridgewater Hill Road, Bridgewater, died March 18, 2014, at Concord Hospital, in Concord, NH, after a brief illness.
 
 
 Born in Littleton, NH. on October 11, 1946, he was the son of Raymond Sr. and Lillian (Danforth) Smith.
 
 
 Butch was a life-long resident of the Beebe River (Campton) and Bridgewater area. He attended Campton and Plymouth Schools.
 
 
 Butch worked, as an electrician for over twenty years at L.W. Packard, in Ashland, and also for the past thirteen years for Longchamps Electric. Butch has also served the town of Ashland as their electrical inspector for several years.
 
 
 Butch was a member of the Plymouth Lodge of Elks #2312, in Holderness, NH, and a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Griggs-Wyatt Post #33, in Meredith, NH.
 
 
 Butch is survived by his wife of fifty years, Mary T. (Torsey) Smith of Bridgewater, daughter, Gina M. Morrison and her husband Joseph, of Alexandria, son, Randy S. Smith and his wife Wendy of Bristol, grandchildren, Tracy, Joseph Jr., Wescott, and Riley, great grandchildren, Jorja, Jerzie, Julia, and Joseph III, brother, Raymond Smith Jr, of Campton, sister, Carol Wallace, of Thornton, several nieces and nephews.
 
 
 Calling hours will be held at the at the Mayhew Funeral Home, 12 Langdon St, Plymouth, on Saturday 2pm to 5pm. The Plymouth Lodge of Elks will hold a service at 4:30pm. Spring burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
