Douglas Welch

Douglas (Doug) A. Welch, age 78, of Chocorua, New Hampshire passed away on July 6, 2023. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Doug was born on May 28, 1945, to the late Lawrence and Dorothy Welch of Center Ossipee, New Hampshire. After graduating from Kennett High School, Conway, New Hampshire, Doug went onto New Hampshire Technical Institute to study construction. At the beginning of his career he worked with Spike Mayhew, where several master craftsmen mentored him. He went on to run his own successful construction business for over 20 years, mastering his phenomenal woodworking skills that were sought out by many throughout the years.
His many loves included snowmobiles, hunting, motorcycles, fast cars, and he would never turn down a coffee frappe, lobster, or a Clint Eastwood or 007 movie.
He will forever be loved and remembered by his wife Virginia (Ginny Roberts), daughters Stephanie (Jeffrey) Roman, and Kimberly (Scoop) Welch, his granddaughter Rosie Hallgren, as well as many nieces, nephews, (several of whom were more like his grandchildren), cousins and friends.
Although there are no services, Doug will be placed to rest in Center Ossipee, New Hampshire.
