Dorothy Elizabeth Sheehan, 88, of Hebron, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2012, at home after a lengthy illness.
Born on January 30, 1924, in S. Weymouth, MA, she was the daughter of Chester H. and Elsie B. (Chisholm) Shirley. Dorothy was raised in Weymouth, graduating from Weymouth High School, Class of '42.
Dorothy was a dedicated homemaker who also had a successful 12 year career as a Real Estate Agent; she was employed by the Jack Conway Realty Co. For many years she served on the Altar Guild at the Holy Nativity Church, in S. Weymouth. Upon retirement in 1979, Dorothy moved with her husband John to Hebron, NH. She was an active member of the Hebron Women's Group, and a member of the Union Congregational Church, of Hebron.
Dorothy was predeceased by her beloved husband John Robert Sheehan, in October, 1996.
She is survived by her son Jack Sheehan, of Hooksett, NH; a daughter, Shirley Ann Jacob, of Woodstock, NH; grandchildren, Jay Sheehan, of Durham, NH and Rebecca Autio, of Isanti, MN; twin great-grandchildren, Kendall and Finnegan Autio; and her dear companion of 12 years, Frank E. Whalen, of Hebron.
