Dorothy M. Phair, 90, of Plymouth, passed away at Massachusetts General Hospital, on Thursday, June 20, 2013 after a brief illness.
Born in Pittsford, VT, on July 27, 1922, the daughter of Virgil and Ada Gee, she was raised on a dairy farm in Pittsford, attended local schools, graduating from the Pittsford High School, Class of 1940 and Rutland Business College.
She worked at Sanders Associates in Nashua for many years as the Administrative Assistant in the Technical Services Department working for their Field Service Representatives stationed throughout the world.
Dorothy has been a resident of Plymouth for over 30 years; she was a devoted and very active member of the Plymouth United Methodist Church. She organized and attended many high school class reunions, loved BINGO, painting, and travelling the U.S. with her husband Loyd in their R.V... Dorothy was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will be dearly missed by her family.
Dorothy is predeceased by her beloved husband of over 50 years, Loyd Phair, in 1995, four sisters, and five brothers.
She is survived by her sister, Rachel Dorn; daughter, Jean Eicherly and husband Frank, of Bowers Beach, DE; son, Terry Phair and wife Pamela, of Stratham, NH; granddaughter, Terri Lee Dirkes, of Ashland; three great grandchildren, Arden and Matthew, of Fl, and Oscar, of Ashland; many nieces and nephews, and friends throughout the area.
