Dorothy U. Ferrando, 88, of Tara Road, Moultonborough, died October 31, 2014, at her home.
Born in Brooklyn, New York on May 7, 1926, she was the daughter of Joseph and Margaret (Salczunus) Uvick.
Dorothy grew up in Brooklyn and graduated from Brooklyn schools. She resided in East Boston for many years. She summered in the Moultonborough starting in 1986 and moved here permanently in 1994.
Dorothy worked for fifteen years as a special file clerk at the Fiduciary Trust Company, in Boston, until her retirement in 1992.
Dorothy was predeceased by her brother Richard Uvick.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of sixty-two years, Carl T. Ferrando of Moultonborough, three daughters, Cheryl M. Ferrando of East Boston, MA, Cathie A. Hull of Moultonborough, Nancy C. Ferrando of Everett, MA, two grandchildren, Kaitlin Sampson and Daniel Hull, one great grandchild, Charlotte Hull, and two nephews.
Private services will be held at the Holy Cross Cemetery and Mausoleum, in Malden, Massachusetts at the convenience of the family.
