Doris Emma O'Connor, 87, formerly of Suissevale, Moultonborough died July 7, 2015, at the Mountain View Nursing Home, in Ossipee, NH.
Born in Hartford, CT, on August 29, 1927, she was the daughter of James and Grace Emma (Clancy) Dagon.
Doris grew up in East Hartford and graduated from East Hartford High School, class of 1945. She resided in East Hartford for many years. She started summering in Moultonborough in the 1960's and moved there permanently in 1989.
Doris was very active in the communities that she resided. In East Hartford, she was a Chairman of the Patriotic Commission where she was instrumental in the development of Bicentennial Square. She was an active member of the Moultonborough United Methodist Church and was a member and past President of the Moultonborough Women's Club.
Doris was predeceased by her husband of fifty-three years, Leo James O'Connor, who died in May of 2008, and her son Kevin Francis O'Connor, who died in February of 2003, a brother, James Dagon and a sister, Caroline O'Neill.
Doris is survived by her children, Donald O'Connor of Willimantic, CT., Brian O'Connor and his wife Tammy of Seekonk, MA., Kathleen Garry and her husband Bruce of Moultonborough, NH., James O'Connor of Laconia, NH., Timothy O'Connor and his wife Carolyn of Manchester, CT, Doreen Watson of Shallotte, NC., fourteen Grandchildren, Matthew, Corey, Tracy, Andrew, Taylor, Sean, Tara, Ryan, Patrick, Mary, Michaela, Christopher, Kathrine, and Grace, two great grandchildren, Joshua and Kevin, Three step grandchildren, Erin, Katie, and Matt Watson, brother, George Dagon and his wife Maureen of Old Saybrook, CT., sister, Ann Barno and her husband Robert of East Hartford, CT., numerous nieces and nephews, her life-long friend and sister-in-law Barbara Dagon of Moultonborough, and special kinship with Sharon Rice O'Connor.
