Donna Woodaman passed away on September 19, 2018 at her home in Meredith. A long-term resident of the Lakes Region, Donna was born and raised in Laconia. With her husband, David Woodaman, Donna owned and operated the family electrical contracting business, Woodaman Electric, Inc., since 1981. She worked in finance for J.Jill for fifteen years, and was presently serving as Finance Director for the City of Laconia since she was appointed to that position in 2011.
Donna attended the University of New Hampshire and held a B.A. in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University.
Donna is survived by her daughter, Taylor Thalheimer, a Registered Nurse at Parkland Medical Center and Taylor's husband Will; her son Stephen Woodaman, an engineer at Massa Products Corporation and his fiancee, Lian Atturio; her brother, Gary Lemay and his wife, Valerie; her brother, Andrew Daigneau and his wife Lesley; her brothers-in-law John and his wife Sivi; Peter and his wife Tracey; Bill Woodaman and Cindy Reinartz; Bob McDaniel and his wife, Laurie and nine nieces and nephews.
An avid gardener and loving mother, Donna and her family resided at a lakefront home in Meredith where they enjoyed watersports, boating and entertaining. She was an accomplished quilter, cook and homemaker, and found great comfort as the loving owner of Rogan, her Great Dane, Cooper, her Golden Retriever, Isabella, her French Bulldog, her cat, Rondo and her beautiful salt-water tank of tropical fish.
Donna was especially fond of the Florida Keys. She and her family routinely vacationed in Key Largo. Donna and David recently returned from a visit to their condo in Key Largo, their favorite place for relaxation and reflection.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday September 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chase House at Mill Falls, 300 D.W. Highway Meredith, NH 03253.
