Donald Allen Tiffany, 88, of Plymouth passed away Monday February 21, after a recent fall. A native of Binghamton New York, he was the son of George Elwood Tiffany and Nina (Allen) Tiffany. Donald and his wife of 63 years, Olga (Lockard) Tiffany, who passed on in 2008, became snowbirds after Don's retirement. They wintered in Murrells Inlet, SC, and become year round residents of Murrells Inlet in 2001. Donald moved to Plymouth in August, 2010 to live with his son and family. Don was retired from New York State Electric & Gas Corporation, having been employed as a tool designer. He was a proud WWII veteran, serving with the 12th Armored Division. He was a lifetime member of The American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans. Don was a member of the Ogden United Methodist Church, Binghamton NY. His Masonic affiliations included membership in the Murrells Inlet Lodge No 368, A.F.M. Murrells Inlet SC; St. Mark's-Philetus Lodge No 1001, F. & A.M., Vestal NY; Royal Arch Masons, Binghamton Chapter No. 139, Endicott NY; Kalurah Shriners, Endicott NY; Knights of the York Cross of Honour, Crusade Priory No 57; and Knights Templar, Malta Commandery No. 21, Endicott NY. He was a member of a bowling league in Murrells Inlet and was accomplished in the needlework arts. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, and watching sports on tv. He was predeceased by his wife Olga. He leaves behind his son, Richard Tiffany, of Plymouth NH, grandchildren Brian Tiffany of Plymouth, NH, Joseph Tiffany and Cathy Bohanon of Nahunta GA, and nine great grandchildren.Memorials:Memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 51 Blossom Street, Boston MA 02114.Service:A funeral service will be held in the Mayhew Funeral Home, 12 Langdon St. Plymouth, NH, on Thursday at 11am. The Rev. Edward J. Charest, pastor of the Plymouth United Methodist Church, will officiate. Cemetery:Spring burial will be Vestal Hill Cemetery, Vestal, NY.
