PLYMOUTH, NH — Donald “Donny” Jacques passed away unexpectedly on July 21, 2025, surrounded by love and leaving behind a lifetime of laughter, stories, and unforgettable memories.
Donny was born and raised in Plymouth, New Hampshire, and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1961. Shortly after, he proudly served in the United States Army. A true entrepreneur at heart, he owned Don’s Getty in Plymouth for many years and later worked for Construx, where he spent over two decades building strong relationships and earning the respect of all who worked with him.
Donny was a man who thrived on connection—whether sharing fish tales, cracking jokes, or welcoming someone new into the fold, he made people feel like they belonged. He was an avid saltwater fisherman who found his happy place on the coast of Maine chasing striped bass, bluefish, and haddock. His love for the water was only rivaled by his love for his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Claire (Sigel) Jacques, and his five children: Mark and his wife Barbara, Melissa, Matthew and his wife Cindy, Michael and his wife Chrissy, and Megan. He was a proud and playful grandfather to Caleb, Alex, Ally, and Lucas Jacques, who were constant sources of joy and pride.
Donny's presence lit up a room. He was fun, genuine, and always up for a good time—whether it was at a family gathering, a backyard cookout, or casting a line at sunrise. He lived life with humor, heart, and a deep appreciation for the people around him.
He will be missed dearly but remembered with a smile by all who knew him.
