Donald B Gordon

CENTER HARBOR, NH - Donald (Don) B. Gordon, Jr. age 82, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 after a long illness. He was born March 5, 1936, to Donald B. Gordon Sr. and Amy F.(Smith) Gordon, in Meredith, NH, where he resided most of his life. In 1959 he was married to Lorraine Y. (Fortin) Gordon (predeceased) and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force until he was honorably discharged in 1963. Don retired from the New Hampshire Electric Coop where he worked for over 36 years. He was a life-long member of the Meredith American Legion Post #33, a hunter safety instructor and an avid gun enthusiast. He loved hunting, snowmobiling and camping with his family and friends throughout the years. Although he was not a religious person, many will remember him for his "Sunday Church Services". The more people he had at his home, the happier he was. As voiceful as Don was, he was challenged when he lost his voice to his disease, however, that didn't stop him. He was introduced to Facebook, which he used to stay in touch with family and friends on a daily basis and continued to express his passion for life.

Don was a loving, devoted father and friend who had an incredible infectious smile. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his four children: Kevin Gordon of Corvallis, MT, Donna (Gordon) (Sturgeon) Dunleavy of Moultonborough, NH, Darlene (Gordon) (Leighton) Moore of Somersworth, NH and Michael Gordon of Meredith, NH, Two sisters; Beverly Pocock of Laconia, NH and Cheryl Doyle of Bethel, ME and another sister Margaret Scott (predeceased). He also found tremendous joy in his eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will held at Oakland Cemetery in Meredith, NH on Saturday, October 13th, 2018 at 11am.
