David A. Robinson, 69, of Meredith NH, passed away on December 29, 2014.

Born on February 27, 1945 in Melrose MA to the late David and Doris Robinson, he was educated in Melrose schools and graduated from Brown University, where he was a member of the hockey team and Kappa Sigma fraternity.

He is survived by his wife Claire "Carrie" Robinson of Meredith, son and wife Gregory and Deborah Robinson of Merrimack NH, Sister Patricia Bittermann of Portland ME and his loving shih-tzu companion Sophie along with many beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Dave was a veteran of the US Air Force and retired as President of H.T.Bailey Insurance Group after 35 years of dedicated service. But more than what he did, Dave was defined by his adventurous spirit, love of good food, great jokes and the company of those special to him.

He loved boating and living on Lake Winnipesaukee and spending part of each winter in Saint Maarten. Dave was an avid snowmobiler, golfer, skier, motorcyclist, car aficionado and prankster. He believed in animal rescue and sharing his talents and treasures widely to benefit others. He was an incredibly generous person.

Donations may be made in Dave's memory to the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth (CHaD) at D-HH/Geisel Office of Development, One Medical Center Drive, HB 7070, Lebanon NH 03756-0001 or your favorite animal rescue.
