David N Poitras passed away unexpectedly January 30th, 2022, With his wife by his side at Dartmouth Hitchcock after a long battle with an illness.
David was born August 17th, 1966, in Plymouth, NH, the son of Guy and Allitia Poitras of Rumney. David was employed with Lymo Construction as a Union Carpenter, which he loved and was passionate about, he retired in 2019. He also was a former volunteer fire fighter and EMT in Rumney.
David was a lifelong resident of Rumney, NH. He married his middle school sweetheart Brenda Hemeon- Poitras. David was a devoted husband, father, Papa, Brother, Uncle, and Friend. Some of his great pastimes were playing softball, volleyball, and snowmobiling. He loved spending time with his wife, vacationing in South Carolina, enjoying his tractor, gardening and his 72 Oldsmobile Cutlass S. Also Riding his motorcycle with family and friends, and Camping. His passion for his Grandchildren and family were like no other. He will be remembered most for his creativity, wisdom, laughter, and his great stories.
He was predeceased by his Father, Guy Poitras, Mother Allitia Chung Poitras, and Brother Mark Poitras.
David leaves behind his wife of 36 years, Brenda, his two sons: Jeremy Poitras and wife Amy Poitras of Rumney NH, Nathanial Poitras of Rumney NH. Two Brothers, Ethan Poitras and wife Diane Poitras of Ashland NH, and Dean Poitras of Berlin NH. His Grandchildren Elizebeth, Benjamin, Rylee, & Jorden Poitras, Kaelynn, Dyllan & Bridgett Lang. Many Nieces and Nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on February 5, 2022, at 10am in the Rumney Baptist Church 375 Main St in Rumney NH. We invite you to come and celebrate this wonderful man.
