David Crowdis McCoy passed away peacefully after a long illness on June 20, 2010. He has spent the last three years residing in his childhood home in Campton, NH. His family moved to Campton from Lowell, MA when he was very young and ran the local grocery store, "McCoy's Market" now known as the Campton Cupboard. He was a graduate of Plymouth Teachers College with a Masters in Education, he also held two other Masters Degrees. Residing in West Nyack, NY, he spent more than 30 years of his teaching career at Clarkstown High School - North, in New City, NY. "Mac" was greatly loved by his students many who have continued to correspond throughout the years. He was known for his sense of humor, and his generosity. He had a lifelong interest in horse racing, photography, politics, and collecting. He was the keeper of the family's history and passed down many treasured stories. He was predeceased by his brother Lee Darwin McCoy and his parents Lee and Hazel McCoy. David will be deeply missed by his family members, Andrea Badger, Jane McCoy, Constance McCoy, Leigh Ann Marino, Anne McCoy, Earnest Latham, James Latham, and Marjorie Broad, as well as many cousins, great nieces and nephews, and friends.Service:Services will be held on July 24th at 11:00am at the Campton Congregational Church. Cemetery:Interment for David along with his brother, Lee Darwin McCoy will take place immediately following the service.
