Daniel Kenneth Ray, 26, of Mesa, AZ, died May 18, 2012, of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Born in Plymouth on August 5, 1985, he was the son of Richard Ray and Penny McClay. Daniel was raised in the Pemi-Baker Valley and graduated from Holderness Central School and then from Plymouth Regional High School, class of 2004. He has resided in Arizona the past seven years.

Dan was active in sports during his school years, participating in Little League and Jr. League Baseball; he also played football in Jr. high school and with the Plymouth Bobcats during high school, and he participated in the Plymouth High School Winter Olympics (skiing and snowboarding). Dan liked white water rafting, archery, and fire arms training. He had a great interest in electronics, building his first computer with his teacher, Mr. Reynolds, at the Holderness Central School.

During high school he worked at NAPA, in Plymouth, in Arizona he worked at the Jabil Circuit Co. assembling computer boards.

Daniel was an honest, funny, kind and caring person who always put others before himself.

Daniel is survived by his father of Rumney and his mother of Holderness, sister, Kari Ray of Rumney, paternal grandparents, Timothy and Evelyn Ray of Rumney, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
