Cynthia Walker Grimaldi

Cynthia Walker Grimaldi, 67, of Moultonborough, passed away at the Lakes Region General Hospital, in Laconia, after a period of declining health. Cynthia was born on September 27, 1942, the daughter of Charles Alfredo and Jeanette (Austin) Walker. She was raised in Monmouth, Maine, and Suffield, Conn., graduating from the Suffield High School. Cynthia owned and operated Robbin's General Store, of Moultonborough (on the Center Harbor line) for many years with her family. She was active in the Moultonborough Community and a member of several clubs including the Women's Club of Moultonborough, the Moultonborough Historical Society, and the LRGH Nursery Guild. Cynthia was also a member of the Country Village Quilters Guild; she was a wonderful quilter who made beautiful quilts for her friends, family, and the guild. She loved spending time with her children and beloved grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband of twenty-five years, Andrea J. Grimaldi, in 1992; and their son, Andrea J. Grimaldi, II, in 1972. Cynthia is survived by her three daughters, Toni Burr and husband Mike, of Moultonborough, Gina Grimaldi and her fiancé Charlie Clark, of Meredith, and Kimberly Anderson and husband Brent, of Moultonborough; a sister, Charlene Dean, and husband Scott, of Tolland, CT; four grandchildren, Matthew, Charles, Katherine, and Brendan Anderson; she is also survived by several extended family members.Memorials:Because of her love for animals--especially her cat Dickens--in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the NH Humane Society, NHHS, P.O. Box 572, Laconia, NH 03247. Visitation:There will be no calling hours.Service:A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Rte. 25, in Meredith, on Friday, July 30, 2010 at 11:00 am. The Very Rev. Dennis J. Audet, pastor, V.F., will officiate.Cemetery:A private family burial will be held at a later date at the Monmouth Ridge Cemetery, Monmouth, Maine.
