Clifton "Kip" Lawrence Shores, 94, of Campton, passed away at his home on Friday, April 25, 2014.
He was born on March 21, 1920, in Thornton, NH to Lawrence and Pearl (Durgan) Shores. Kip lived in the Campton/Thornton area for most of his life. He owned and operated a dairy farm in Thornton and also worked for the town of Thornton for many years.
He and his surviving wife of 62 years, Thelma (Smith), raised a family of six daughters, Linda Mitchell, of Burnham, ME, Darlene Atwood, of North Sandwich, Melody Elliott, of Munroe, NC, Shari Kyes, of Jensen Beach, FL, Gail Shores, of Tamworth, and Anne Whitehouse, of Campton. Kip is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and many great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Kip's memory may be made to the NH Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia, NH 03246.
