Clarence Willard Pulsifer, 86, of Bog Road, died April 16, 2009, at Golden View Health Care Center, in Meredith, NH. Born in Campton on August 31, 1922, he was the son of Fred E. and Bertha [Smith] Pulsifer. He grew up in Campton and was a lifelong resident. He attended the "Bog School' and Blair School, in Campton and graduated from Plymouth High School, class of 1939. He married Arlene Richards on February 19, 1945, in Virginia Beach, VA. He worked as a farmer all his life. He was also the Eastern States Representative for the Agway Company, for over thirty years. He served the town of Campton on various boards including, the Planning Board, the Campton School Board, a Selectman, and Fire Commissioner. He was a World War II US Navy veteran and served between 1942 and 1948. He was predeceased by his wife Arlene [Richards] Pulsifer, who died in May of 1945 and sister, Louise Platts. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Susan P. Johnston and husband Leigh, James R. Pulsifer and wife Marlene, Russell F. Pulsifer and Robert Pulsifer, all of Campton, 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations to the Pemi-Baker Home Health and Hospice, 258 Highland St, Plymouth, 03264. Service:A graveside service will be held in the Blair Cemetery, Campton, on Monday at 2pm. The Rev. Russell Petrie, pastor of the Campton Congregational Church, will officiate.
