Obituary

LITCHFIELD --- Christopher John Itrato, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026, at the age of 55. Chris was born in Boston, Massachusetts, to Joseph Anthony Itrato and Karin Cederholm Itrato, and grew up in Burlington, Massachusetts, with his parents and brother, Ken Itrato.

Chris's daughter, Josie, was his sun and moon, and he made all his life plans and decisions around ensuring that Josie had all his love, support and security. Chris was an amazing dad and spent his free time playing with Josie and planning for her future. Chris was happiest when he was with Josie, his partner, Marisa Pinardi, and her sons Gavin and Brian, extended family in Florida and elsewhere, and his huge network of friends who, over the years, grew with him to become family.

Chris built and maintained deep connections with relationships seeded during his youth in Burlington, his college years at UMass, his early working years at Disney, his beach years spent on Key West and the Virgin Islands, his time in central Florida, and everywhere else Chris went. Chris was the kindest soul you could hope to meet, and he was beloved by everyone. He was a people person who could handle any situation with grace and leadership.

Chris was an entrepreneur at heart and always had several businesses running, often simultaneously. Chris's entrepreneurial itch led him to own and run several restaurants, a solar business, a time-share business, an estate liquidation business, and many others. Chris was a people person who could also handle and process large amounts of information in sometimes chaotic environments.

His wonderful spirit, commitment and work ethic, made him successful at his businesses, and personally, it made him an incredibly helpful person to have in your corner. His presence provided us with kindness, humor, stability, and comfort. We all benefited from having him in our lives.

Chris is survived by his daughter, Josie, his partner, Marisa Pinardi and her sons Gavin and Brian, his brother Ken Itrato and sister-in-law Kim Turner, and his niece and nephew, Lucas and Eloise. Chris's memory is also kept alive by family and friends who became family over the years, including his Aunt Joan and Aunt Sylvia, his cousins, Mike and Becky Cederholm, Kristen and Scott Paulling, David and Kristi Swentor, Kim Swentor and Gregg Swentor, and their families, Stan and Amy Dunajski, Jeff and Colleen Conners, Dave Arrigo and Liz Pelonzi, Bruce and Katie Erickson, Tim and Laurie Calcaterra, Ken Lui, and many other friends and their families who were such a large part of his life.
