Christine Imogene Dole, 90, formerly of Campton, died March 23, 2016 at her home in Meredith, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Mine La Motte, MO. on March 26, 1925, she was the daughter of Clarence B. and Dosha (Hand) Womack.
Christine grew up in Perryville, MO. and graduated from Perryville schools. She moved to Campton in 1946 and then to Meredith in 2001.
Christine worked for about four years at the Waldheim Platt & Company, in St. Louis and then worked for thirty-nine years for the Draper Corporation, in Beebe River, NH., as an office supervisor.
Christine was a very active member in the Campton community. She was a past member and held all the offices in the Campton Women's Club, Secretary and Treasurer of the Campton School District, Campton Trustee of Trust Funds, Campton Town Auditor, a charter member of the Campton Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, member of the Order of Eastern Star, in Plymouth, and a member and held all the offices in the Business Professional Women's club, in Plymouth. She was a member of the Campton Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir and was a member of the Campton Congregational Church.
Christine loved to travel with her husband and they visited every state in the United States.
Christine was predeceased by her husband, John Lovett Dole, who died in September of 2012.
Christine is survived by her sister-in-laws, Sara "Sally" (Dole) Harris and her husband Ken of Thornton, NH., Jean Hibbard of Merdith, NH., Brother-in-Law, David Dole and his wife Alice of Portland, CT., Good Friend, Gary Hancock and his wife Jill of Ashland, NH., several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
