Obituary

THORNTON --- It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Chris Meisenbacher, a beloved husband, father, and friend, who departed by a cardiac event at home on October 25, 2026, surrounded by the love of his cherished wife. Born on March 25, 1966, in Schenectady, New York, Chris lived a full and vibrant life, leaving a legacy of love and laughter that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

Chris was the beloved son of Anne and the late Richard Meisenbacher. He grew up in a nurturing home, where he developed the warmth and kindness that would define his character throughout his life. He graduated from Plymouth State College in 1990, where he met the love of his life, forming the friendship that would last a lifetime.

On June 28, 1992, Chris married Michele Ziemba. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with joy and adventure. Their bond, unwavering for 34 years, was a testament to enduring love and commitment. They were blessed with two wonderful sons, Taylor and Ryan, who were his pride and joy. Chris's legacy continues through his family.

His career was marked by dedication and passion. Chris was self-employed for 15 years before joining the Owl's Nest family, where he worked for the last 16 years. His colleagues remember him as a man of integrity and warmth, always willing to lend a hand or share a laugh.

Chris was known for his quick wit and warm smile, traits that made him a joy to be around. Ever ready with a joke and glass of Bourbon, he had a remarkable ability to lighten the mood and make everyone feel welcome and valued. His kindness and generosity touched countless lives, and he was a wonderful Father figure to many. He was a pioneer of snowboarding in his younger years as well as fishing, golfing, or simply spending time with friends and family, Chris embraced life with enthusiasm and joy.

A celebration of Chris's life will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at the Owl's Nest Pavilion, 40 Clubhouse Lane, Thornton, NH 03285.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Spear Hospital for their compassionate care during Chris's time of need. As the family faces this tremendous loss, they find solace in the love and memories shared with Chris, knowing he will remain "forever in our hearts."
