Chester L. Comeau

July 4, 1943 — July 8, 2024

ASHLAND---It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we inform you of the death of our beloved Chester Leroy Comeau. A lot of people called him “Chet” of 627 N Ashland Rd Ashland, NH 03217 passed away peacefully on the evening of July 8th 2024 with family and extended family bedside at White River Junction VA Hospital in White River Junction, Vermont. He was 81 years old and was fully involved in the lives of his family, as he was always there, always supportive. He was consistently expressing warmth, kindness and helped when needed.

Born a son to father, Joe Oliver Comeau and mother, Dorothy Hinkson on July 4th, 1943, Chester came into this world to share his light with all who came to know him. He came to know the Holderness, Rumney, Ashland area of New Hampshire , and the Philippines as his home. His knowledge of business progressed from a very young age into his involvement with the 2nd Hand Store in Holderness, New Hampshire and international travel. Cruising around in cars and boats was another pastime he fully enjoyed. Anyone whoever stopped by to shop or just to talk with him either at work or at his home always reveled in his upbeat sense of humor. Chester served in the United States Air Force and was Honorably Discharged on August of 1966.

A conversation with him went to extraordinary levels as he loved conversing with anyone lending an interest in the seemingly unlimited talents he was versed in, like, his unwavering commitment to his devotion to his wife Liza Comeau and both of his beautiful twin daughters Janelle Comeau & Jasmine Comeau he was blessed with. His love and attention to their every ambition, interest, pursuit of goals and dream.Chester “Chet” Comeau led the way, directed the course and guided the journey of life for each one of his immediate family members.

Alongside of him most of the time was his favorite companion Casper, a pure white Maltese dog that he took everywhere; usually Casper was the first family member of the house to greet everyone who entered. Really, Casper was an extension of Chester in the many lives they touched throughout the local community and overseas.

He is survived by his wife Liza Comeau, two daughters Janelle and Jasmine. Neice Jejy Rose Eturma Beede, nephew Cory Alan Beede, great niece Kailanni Camille Eturma Beede. Brothers Wayne Comeau, Dickie Comeau, sister Carol Lopez, son Mike Porter and daughter Debbie as well as the rest of family in addition to extended family. “We love you and will miss you, Chester.”
