NORTH WOODSTOCK --- Charles Edward Harrington, 88, of North Woodstock, NH, passed away on March 09, 2025, due to complications with Parkinson’s Disease. Born on May 3, 1936, Charles was a beloved member of his community and a devoted family man.
In his youth, Charles was known as an exceptional knuckleballer, showcasing his athletic talent as a high school baseball star. Following his graduation, he enlisted in the Army, where he served his country with honor. After military service, Charles embarked on a successful career as a barber, dedicating 48 years to the craft and building lasting relationships with his clients.
Charles was deeply committed to his North Woodstock community, fostering connections and encouraging growth. His interest and compassion left a lasting impact on those around him.
Charles was also a prolific woodworker, known for his skill in building furniture and other beautiful pieces that brought joy and functionality to many homes. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Pauline (Bossie) Harrington, with whom he shared 68 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they traveled much of the world and throughout the United States, creating cherished memories along the way. Their loving family includes their son, Alan Harrington, and daughter-in-law, Deborah Harrington. He took immense pride in his grandsons, Tyler Harrington and his wife Yevgeniya, and Ethan Harrington and his wife Katie, as well as his cherished great-grandchildren Mila, Weston, Micah, and Brooks.
He is also survived by his siblings, Roger Harrington and his wife Sarah, Larry Harrington and his sister Sally Avery. Charles was predeceased by his brothers Arthur Harrington, Arnold (Joe) Harrington, and Ronald Harrington.
Charles will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held at 9:00 AM, Friday, March 21, 2025, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 25 Church St. Lincoln, NH, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 AM also at the church.
