Cary Leroy Spaulding

January 15, 1944 — July 14, 2023

Cary Leroy Spaulding 79, went to be with the Lord on July 14th, 2023. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends while they sang the Lord's prayer and prayed over him.

He was born on January 15th, 1944, at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH to his mother Pearl Gertrude Strout and his father Lawrence Herman Spaulding. Cary had 8 siblings, brothers Lawrence, Ronald, Paul, Curtis and Richard. Sisters Linda, Sandra and Vivian. Cary attended school in Bethel, ME. He started his own truck tire business before leaving to fight for the US Army in the Vietnam war. Cary was proud to have served his country and was a dedicated Veteran. After being self-employed for many years he went on to drive truck cross country with his wife Carolyn for 5 years. They even took their grandkids on a couple trips to see the country. Cary then went on to work at Freudenberg NOK for 11 years where he made many friends and was loved by all.

Cary married the love of his life Carolyn M. Emerson Spaulding 53 years ago. She was a loving and devoted wife and took care of him until the end of his time on Earth with love and compassion. Together they had a blended family of 8 children. Robert Huckins of Warren, Jessica Goupil of Laconia, Jackie Combs of Meredith, Belinda Frechette of Meredith, Michelle Ide of Laconia, Cary Spaulding of Myrtle Beach S.C., Donald Huckins of North Haverhill and Jeana Luneau of Laconia. Together Cary and Carolyn had 17 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Family has always been their pride and joy.

After his retirement, Cary spent a lot of time growing in knowledge of God's wisdom and word and loving his family and friends. Cary's desire is his family follow by his example, walking with Jesus and that one day soon he will be reunited with everyone. The world is surely missing this man as is his family.

Cary is predeceased by his parents, his son Donald Huckins and brothers Lawrence, Paul, and Richard Spaulding.

Services will be held at Faith Alive Church at 72 Primrose Drive, Laconia, NH, 03246 on August 5th at 10am. Family and friends will be welcome to stay after for a reception as well as share fond memories. The best way to honor Cary is to surround his wife Carolyn with love and support.
