Carolyn Margaret Calley

August 5, 1930 — June 19, 2017

Carolyn Margaret Calley, 87, of Holderness, NH passed away peacefully at Speare Memorial Hospital on June 19th, after struggling with several health challenges. She was surrounded by her loved ones including her only surviving sister, Beverly.

Born in Laconia, NH. on August 5, 1930, she was the daughter of Herman and Georgia (Tibbetts) Baker.

Carolyn grew up in Laconia and resided in Hooksett for twenty-five years and has been a resident of Holderness since 1984.

Carolyn worked for many years for the State of New Hampshire as the secretary to the Commissioner of Economic Development.

Carolyn was a very active and long-time member of the Holderness Community Church, Holderness past member of the Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary

Carolyn lead a very productive and meaningful life and was cherished by all who knew her.

Carolyn joins her 8 siblings, her infant son and her beloved husband of fifty-two years, Richard H. Calley who died in December of 2009.

Carolyn is survived by her sister, Beverly Smith and her husband Norman of Holderness, NH., nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of life and a burial service this fall.
