Carol A. (Armstrong) Weeks, 76, passed away peacefully at her home in Meredith with her family by her side on April 20, 2017.
Born in Plymouth, NH on September 4, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Jack C. and Lucille K. (MacDonald) Armstrong.
Carol spent most of her life in Meredith. She was a true local, having attended school at the Humiston Building in Meredith, employed by Meredith Steam Laundry, Asbestos Mill and retiring as a supervisor from Annalee Dolls.
Carol was a very caring and doting mother and grandmother. Children and grandchildren always came first. She always enjoyed family camping trips, a getaway to the ocean or just simply spending time catching up with the kid's busy lives.
Carol was predeceased by her sister Joyce Hyslop and brother Dwight Armstrong.
Carol is survived by her four children: James Thomas Jr. and wife Cindy, Gary (Squid) Weeks Jr. and wife Melissa, Vicki (Weeks) Gallagher and husband Michael, Traci Weeks Hoyt and husband Erik, all of Meredith. She had nine grandchildren: Wesley Thomas; Emily Weeks; Brandon and Hailey Eldridge; Peyton Hoyt; Michael, Ashley (Doten), Benjamin and Brittany Gallagher; and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister and close friend Jane Armstrong and her husband, Stan Graton; brother James Armstrong and his wife Paulette; sister Katheryn Armstrong and sister-in-law Judy Armstrong; along with many nieces and nephews who thought the world of Aunt Carol.
Calling hours will be held at the Mayhew Funeral Home 204 Daniel Webster Highway in Meredith on Saturday, May 13 from 9 to 11 a.m. followed by a graveside service at the Oakland Cemetery in Meredith Center.
