Carol Douglas Pendoley

Carol Douglas Pendoley, 90, of Fletcher Farm Road, Alexandria, NH died November 11, 2015, at her home, after a period of failing health.
Born in Bridgeport, CT. on June 25, 1925, she was the daughter of Frederick and Marguerite (Mannix) Douglas.
Carol grew up on Long Island, NY and in Bridgeport, CT. She graduated from Bridgeport, CT, Schools and nursing school in Connecticut. She resided for several years in Bristol and then spent fifteen years in South Portland, ME. She moved back to Alexandria a short time ago.
Mrs. Pendoley was very active in the communities where she lived. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and volunteered at several nursing homes and hospice home, in the areas where she lived. She was an avid reader and enjoyed music, dancing, as well as cooking and the company at family gatherings.
Carol married Frederick Pendoley, Jr. on February 18, 1950 in Bridgeport, CT. and was predeceased by him on May 2, 1989. She was also predeceased by her son, Mark D. Pendoley, who died in February of 1985.
Carol is survived by her children: Frederick M. "Skip" Pendoley III of Puerto Rico, Brian J. Pendoley of Long Valley, NJ, Peter D. Pendoley and his wife Kellie of Perth Australia, Maureen E. Tower and her husband Kent of Alexandria, NH, Karen A. Briggs and her husband Dave of Hallowell, ME, daughter-in-law Rosalie Pendoley of Thornton, NH, her grandchildren Krista Remaily and her husband Santee, Amy Pendoley and her husband Alain, Mark Tower, Katie Zikakis and her husband Christopher, Sarah Glasspool and her husband Michael, Lisa Tower, Hibby Regan, Scott Pendoley, Jagger Pendoley, her great-grandchildren Mark, Eva, Owen, Emma, Anastasia, and Aaron, her sister Jewel Nefores and husband George of California, nieces and nephews.
