Carl "Sonny" Arthur Chase

Carl Arthur "Sonny" Chase Jr., 79, of Chase Road, Meredith, died suddenly on March 1, 2016 at his home.
Born in Laconia, NH on December 22, 1937, he was the son of Carl Arthur Sr. and Marion Mae (Watson) Chase.
Carl was a life-long resident of Meredith and a graduate of Meredith High School, class of 1955. He also attended the Kimball Union Academy, in Meriden, NH.
Carl worked for over thirty years as a lineman and technician for the New England Telephone Company.
Carl was a US Navy veteran and was the first of three brothers to serve on the USS Cavalla submarine.
Carl was a fifty year member of the Sub Veterans Group and the New Holland Club. He was also a long-time member of the Griggs Wyatt American Legion Post #33, Meredith, and a forty plus year member and past master of the Chocorua Lodge #83 of Masons F&AM, Meredith
Carl was predeceased by his brother, Wayne R. Chaser Sr., who died in June of 2013.
Carl is survived by his sons, Carl A. Chase III of Naples FL., Jeffrey W. Chase of Meredith, two grandsons, Carl A. Chase IV, Tyler J. Chase, his brother, Errol S. Chase of Meredith, his sister, Marilyn C. Shaw of Manomet, MA, also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
