Bryan "Barney" Douglas Ball, 74, of Moultonborough, passed away at Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital, in Lebanon on Monday, October 27, 2014 following a brief illness.
Bryan was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada, on Sunday, February 4, 1940; he was the son of Mervin and Laura (Dunn) Ball. Barney enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served aboard the USS AUCILLA (AO 56) a tanker ship stationed in Barcelona, Spain.
For many years Barney worked as a sailor on private luxury Yachts as a Chief Engineer. He also worked in the maintenance department for the Inter-Lakes School District, for eight years.
As a friend, he used his skills to help countless people in their times of need and was loyal to those he respected and loved. He will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his beloved wife Sandra K. (King) Ball, of Moultonborough; his son, Bryan D. Yaborudy, of New York; four brothers, Kenneth, James, William, and Michael; his sister, Joan, and he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
