Bridie Bannon

Bridie Bannon, 84, passed away June 8th. Bridie was Born in Longford, Ireland on May 20, 1933. She immigrated to New York City at the age of 18 joining her 2 sisters, Elizabeth and Mary. She met her future husband Thomas Bannon at an Irish dance in New York. Bridie and Tom were married for almost 50 years and had 4 children: Peter, Sheila, Brian, and Brendan. She had 9 grandchildren: Annie, Kaitlin, Clair, Melissa, Robin, Liam, Sophia, Kieran, and Rowan. In her retirement, she was very active in the church as a Eucharistic Minister and a volunteer at the local nursing home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 300 NH Route 25, Meredith, NH. on Monday June 26th, at 10am. Burial will follow in the Shannon Cemetery, Moultonborough, NH. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas PL, Memphis, TN. 38105, or the Shriner's Children's Hospitals.
