Brian E. Demers

Brian E. Demers, 53, of Thornton, passed away unexpectedly at Speare Memorial Hospital, on Monday, July 26, 2010.Born in Littleton, NH, on June 13, 1957, he was the son of Peter E. and Dorothy H. (Smith) Demers. Brian was raised in Thornton, graduating from the Plymouth Area High School, Class of 1975. He went on to continue his education, earning a Certificate in Accounting from the NH Tech College.For many years Brian was an employee for the Draper Corporation at Beebee River, he also worked for Burndy's, of Lincoln, and Gerrity Lumber Co., of Meredith. Brian enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, fishing, playing cards, and motorcycles. He loved spending time with his beloved friends and family.Brian is predeceased by his parents.He is survived by his two sisters, Pauline Giroux, of Campton, and Linda Mellett, of N.Woodstock; two brothers, Leslie Demers, of Campton, and Gary Demers, of Keeseville, NY; he is also survived by nine nieces and nephews and their families.Memorials:In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brian's name to a charity of one's choice.Service:A memorial service will be held at the Mayhew Funeral Home, 12 Langdon Street, Plymouth, on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 11:00 am. The Rev. Russell Petrie, pastor of the Campton Congregational Church will officiate.Cemetery:Interment will be held immediately following the service at the Riverside Cemetery, Fairgrounds Rd., Plymouth.
