Brad Hanley, 62, of Dorchester, NH passed away on Sept 22 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Son of Ernest (Jack) Hanley, late of Dorchester and Priscilla (Cilla) Wolfe, late of Wentworth, Brad is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Ila and Ed Goodspeed of Dorchester and their children Holly, 7, and Jeremiah,1-1/2, and by his sister, Pam Wright of Bedford, NH.
Brad grew up in Dorchester and was a graduate of Mascoma Valley Regional High School. He worked for over 30 years as a master plumber throughout central VT and NH. Brad was a loving father and grandfather and a generous and loyal friend.
Brad's greatest joys came from home, family and friends.
Gregarious and welcoming, Brad's home was always a social hub, especially for his summer holiday parties where he reveled in the chance to bring friends together in celebration. Brad was a loyal friend - kind and generous.
Brad was an avid gardener, growing his own vegetables through the years. He was a snowmobile enthusiast and enjoyed time on his 4-wheelers. His greatest joy, though, was his family and especially his grandchildren. His eyes would light up when they were coming to visit, and he was always thinking of ways he could spend time with Holly and his hope had been to do the same with Jeremiah.
There will be a graveside service at Pleasant View Cemetery in Rumney, NH on Saturday, October 2 at 11am. A reception will follow - details will be forthcoming at the service. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Jack Byrne Palliative Care and Hospice Center at 154 Hitchcock Loop Rd, Lebanon, NH 03766.
