Beatrice R. Burrows

Beatrice R. Burrows, 79, of Center Sandwich, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010, at Lakes Region General Hospital after a lengthy illness.Born on September 4, 1930, in Moultonborough, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Bernice (Larson) Willoughby. Beatrice was raised in Moultonborough and attended Moultonborough Schools, graduating from Meredith High School, Class of 1948.She married her beloved husband Donald in Moultonborough, in July of 1948, and together they moved to Sandwich where they raised their family.Beatrice had a great love for children, and for over ten years she operated a pre-school in Sandwich. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 92, in Sandwich.She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Donald H. Burrows, of Center Sandwich; a son, Dana S. Burrows, of Louisville, KY; a daughter, Donna Ryan and husband Daniel, of Center Harbor; a sister, Jane Cote, of Alabama; three grandchildren, Patrick S. Ryan and wife Lisa, of Kennesaw, GA; Kirstan Ryan, of Austin, TX, and Jessica Burrows; she is also survived by many nieces and nephews.Memorials:In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Beatrice's memory to the Sandwich Caregivers, 408 N.
