Barbara Ann Smyth Cannon

Barbara Ann Smyth Cannon, 89, of South Village Road, died suddenly on November 15, 2013, at Golden View Health Care Center, in Meredith.
Born in Poughkeepsie, NY on May 20, 1924, she was the daughter of James John and Agnes Bridget (O'Keefe) Carley. She grew up in Andover, MA and graduated from Punchard High School, in Andover. She resided in Andover until moving to New Hampshire in the late 1980's. She has been a resident of Loudon for the last three years.
Barbara worked for several years as an administrative assistant for the Andover School System.
Barbara was a very active member of South Congregational Church, the Andover Choral Society, the Andover Parent Teacher Association, and the Loudon Lions Club.
Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Bailey Cannon, who died in August of 1991, and her daughter, Diane Champy, who died in 2011.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Patricia W. Calabrese, of Wolfeboro, grandchildren, Frank Calabrese III of Wolfeboro, Tammy Hatch of Wakefield, David Champy Jr, great grandchildren, Sean, Steve, Cassie, Bailey, Dawson, great great granddaughter, Brooklyn Page.
