Barbara L. Clymer

February 17, 1949 — December 24, 2009

Barbara L. Clymer, 60, died on December 24th, 2009 at her home, after a long and heroic battle with cancer.         Barbara was born in Plainfield NJ, lived her childhood in Millington NJ and attended the Princeton School of Nursing in Princeton, NJ.  She and James were married in 1973 and resided in Chester, NJ where she perused a full time career as a nurse until the birth of Christopher in 1979 at which time she decided to become a full time mother.  The family moved to Meredith NH in 1982 and daughter Alison was born in 1984.  Once both children were in school, Barbara's love of books, especially children's' books led her to the New Hampton Library for a few years and then to the children's room of the Meredith Public Library where she worked for the past 15 years.      She was also a long time member of the First Congregational Church of Meredith and devoted many Sunday's to running the Church nursery.   Her love of children was boundless and she was considered a second mother by many of her children's closest friends.      She is survived by her beloved husband, James,  her son, Christopher who now lives in Plymouth, NH,  , her daughter  Alison who lives in Candia, NH,  her mother Marion Bohl  of Meredith and her brother Douglas Bohl of Morristown, New Jersey.  Memorials:     Memorial donations can be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services,  P.O. Box 4072,  Pittsfield, MA 01202.   Visitation:     Calling hours will be at Mayhew Funeral Home, Routes #3 and #104, Meredith, on Tuesday from 6pm to 8pm.  Service:     A funeral services will be held at the First Congregational Church of Meredith, 4 Highland St, Meredith, Wednesday at 1pm.  The Rev. Russell Rowland, pastor, will officiate.  Cemetery:     Spring burial will be held in the Oakland Cemetery, Meredith.
