Anthony Lewis Zimmer

Zimmer, Anthony "Tony" L. 66 of Holderness, NH passed away after a brief illness at the Catholic Medical Center In Manchester, surrounded by his loving wife and children. Tony was born on March 12, 1950 in Plymouth; Son of the late William J. and Rose (Avery) Zimmer.
Tony proudly served his Country in the NH Army National Guard. He worked for the NH Dept. of Transportation for many years. Tony was a member of the Plymouth Elks Lodge # 2312 and the American Legion Post #66. His hobbies included playing pool and teaching others to play, golfing, darts, fishing, playing cards, but above all Tony enjoyed spending time with family and friends and taking trips with his wife, kids, and grandkids.
Beloved wife of 47 years to Linda M (Howe) Zimmer, Loving father of Candy A. Fouts and son in law Jon Fouts of Plymouth NH, Billie Jo Purcell, and son in law Shawn Purcell of Moultonborough NH, Toni Zimmer and son in law of Jeremy Somers of Rumney, NH. Devoted grandfather of Jacob A. Fouts of Holderness, Timothy Brown II of Ashland, NH, Nicholas Brown of Manchester and Patrick, Anthony, and Katlin Latuch of Rumney NH. Loving son of Rose Zimmer, of Holderness NH. Brother of Frank Zimmer of Holderness NH, Linda Leveque of New York. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and sister in laws. Tony was predeceased by his father, William Zimmer and his siblings Philip Zimmer, Larry Zimmer and Star Zimmer.
SERVICES: Family and friends will honor and remember Tony's life by gathering for Calling Hours in the Mayhew Funeral Home, 12 Langdon St. Plymouth, NH on Saturday, August 20th from 2:00 to 5:00 PM, with Military Honors starting at 4:45 PM in the funeral home chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 26th from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at the Plymouth Elks Lodge, 1159 NH Route 175 Holderness, NH. In Lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Plymouth Elks Lodge; BPOE 2312, PO BOX 277 Plymouth, NH 03264. All donations in Tony's memory will go to a football scholarship for a Plymouth Bobcat.
