Annette Smith Phippard, 80, formerly of Candia, died April 6, 2016 at Hope Hospice House, in Providence, RI, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Laconia, NH. on May 7, 1935, she was the daughter of Edmond and Doris (Nadeau) Smith.

Annette grew up in Laconia and graduated from Laconia High School, class of 1953. She also was a graduate of Keene State College, class of 1957, with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She was a resident of Candia for about twenty-five years. Annette has spent the last twenty-four years living in their RV and traveling all over the United States. They summered in Small Point, ME., and wintered in Tampa, FL.

Annette loved to laugh, quilt, read, play cards, and go antiquing.

Annette was predeceased by her daughter Susan D. Phippard, who died in Manchester in September of 1987.

Annette is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, George F. Phippard, of Lakeville, MA., her children, Kathleen A. Andrews and her husband Timothy, of Lakeville, MA., Timothy J. Phippard and his wife Elizabeth of Kersey, CO., Karen E. Pennington, of Mims, FL., Michael E. Phippard of El Paso, TX., John P. Phippard of Candia, NH., nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, her sisters, Pauline Smith of Laconia, NH., Jeanne Waterman and her husband Kenneth of Caribou, ME, , sister-in-law, Eileen A. Mayhew of Plymouth, NH., several nieces and nephews.
