Alma C. West passed away at age 93 at the Concord Hospital in Laconia, NH on October 11th, 2023.
Alma was born in Plymouth, NH in 1930 where she lived and attended the Plymouth Public School system. Alma graduated in 1947 as Valedictorian of her class. After High School she attended Plymouth Teacher’s College where she received her teaching degree.
Alma spent most of her teaching career in the Natick, MA school systems until she retired and moved to Bristol, NH. Alma was exceptionally fond of her time at Newfound Lake where she spent many summers at her parent’s campground, Nutting Beach and later at her summer house in Hebron. She loved sailing, boating, swimming and walks to her sister’s house.
Alma survived her parents Anthony and Iris Chase of Plymouth, NH, her sister and two brothers, Virginia Somersall, Warren Chase, and Winston Chase along with her brother-in-law Richard Somersall. Predeceases her sister-in-Law Edith Chase of Milton, MA, Nieces and Nephews and their spouses Elizibeth and Kenith MacLeod of Waterville, ME, Kathy Chase and George Nisula of Abington, MA, Gregg and Alice Chase of Easton, MA, and William and Gail Chase of Milton, MA as well as nine great nieces and nephews.
We will be announcing a celebration of life gathering for Alma at a time and date to be determined.
