Aletea B. Durand

Tete, as her friends and family called her, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2022, at the Genesis Elder Care in Laconia, NH.
Daughter of the late Herman and Beatrice Durand of Plymouth, NH. She attended and graduated from Plymouth High School and went on to work for the Bell Telephone Company. She retired after 35 years of service with the phone company.
Tete loved the Red Sox, Bruins, and the Patriots as well. She loved all the family gatherings so she could cook, which she especially liked to make the desserts. Her love for animals was second to none. Tete was also president of the Women's Auxiliary Post 66 for many years.
Tete is survived by her daughter Lynn Risley of Northfield, NH, her son Robert and his wife Patricia Risley of Sanbornton, NH, granddaughters Jennifer and Julie Shortt of Northfield, NH and Zachary Shortt and family from Barrington. Tete also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be on Wednesday August 10, 2022, at 11 am at Riverside Cemetery, Fairgrounds Road, Plymouth, NH with the Reverend Christopher Drew officiating the service.
In lieu of flowers consider making a donation to the Franklin Humane Society in Tete's name.
