Albert "Skeeter" Edward Dow Jr., 81, of Plymouth, NH., died suddenly on June 23, 2017 at his home.
Born, one of ten, in Ashland NH., on April 24, 1936, he was the son of Albert E. Sr. and Marguerite Elizabeth (Hall) Dow.
Skeeter grew up in Ashland and graduated from Ashland High School, class of 1954. He resided in Campton for eleven years and has been a resident of Plymouth since 1969.
Skeeter worked at the Burleigh Farm in Holderness for several years and was the Snow Grooming Supervisor, at Waterville Valley Ski Area form ten years. He was a heavy equipment operator and worked for Jim Heal, driving a truck, plowing state roads for many years.
Skeeter was a past member of the Plymouth Oddfellows and a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks #2312, in Holderness, NH. He was also a past Assistant Scout Master, in Campton.
Skeeter enjoyed woodworking, gardening and was always up for a good road trip.
Skeeter is survived by his sons, Christopher G. Olson-Dow, Errol K. Dow, both of Plymouth, his daughter, Daphne E. Dow of Hillsborough, NC., a grandson, Jessie, two brothers, Leslie Dow of Lizella, GA., Thomas Dow of Ryegate, VT., numerous nieces and nephews, and his former wife, Barbara (Dunlap) Farnum of Ashland.
