Alan Richard Morrill

July 27, 1954 — March 11, 2021

Early in the morning of March 11, 2021, Alan Morrill, 66, a best friend, husband, dad, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at Concord Hospital.

Alan was born in Laconia, NH on July 27, 1954. He grew up in Meredith and graduated from Inter-Lakes High School in 1972. Alan worked at Golden View Health Care Center for a total of 43 years. On August 2nd, 1975 he married Libby Jayne Sargent. They have a son, Alec and a daughter, Sarah.

Alan loved sports. He coached baseball, basketball, and soccer in Meredith for elementary through high school students. All the kids admired Coach Al. Alan also never missed a dance recital.

Alan was always known for his sense of humor. He happily passed along funny stories from his father, "Timer".

Alan's favorite pastime was sitting on the front porch and hanging out with his springer spaniels. Alan would just open the door and send the dogs out to greet the world. That is how he met his great friends in the neighborhood.

Alan was preceded in death by his father, William "Timer" Morrill, his mother Jean, and his brother Bill.

Alan is survived by his wife of 45 years, Libby, his son Alec and his finance Tasha, his daughter Sarah, and her partner Mark. Alan is also survived by a brother, Timothy, and best friends Kevin and Ramona. Alan also leaves behind his sweet pets; Twinkle and Miss Pudding the kitties, Emma and Bully the springers and Ralph "Old Stretch Neck" the turtle.

A celebration of Alan's life will be held later this summer.

If you were lucky enough to have met Al, you are sure to have a fun story to share. Life is precious, please be kind to each other.
