Obituary for Lucille MaryAnn Frazier (Travers)

Lucille “Lucy” Maryanne Frazier 78 of Meredith NH, died peacefully on June 18, 2019; she was surrounded by her children and grandchildren at Lakes Region General Hospital. Born July 12, 1940 in North Andover MA, Lucy was the Daughter of the late Michael and Rose Mary Travers and wife of the late Maynard Frazier.
Graduate of North Andover High School, Lucy moved on to work at Western Electric, I.T.T, and Wang until she retired in her mid 50’s.

Lucy is survived by her two children; Son Earle and his wife Caroline Frazier & Daughter Maryanne & husband David Belanger. Lucy is also survived by her remaining siblings Dorothy Amore of Zellwood, Florida and brother Richard Travers of Derry, NH . Lucy is survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lucy and her late husband Maynard lived and started their family in Salem, NH. She later moved to Haverhill, MA where she resided for many years. Lucy moved to Meredith NH at age 73 after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

Lucy was known for her love of bingo, family dinners, and the beach. Lucy loved to cook and spend time with her grandchildren. Lucy had a passion for taking care of others, one of her favorite sayings was, “hunny did you eat? I got sweets!” Lucy took pride in her home and her appearance. When she wasn’t cleaning or catching up with family and friends Lucy would help out her favorite hairdresser Mr. Wayne. Lucy enjoyed sitting around the table with her grandchildren telling stories of when she was younger as well as stories of the Traver’s journey to the united states from Sicily, Italy. Lucy was a kind, loving and nurturing soul who will be forever missed.

Services will be held Friday June 21st from 2pm to 4pm at Mayhew Funeral Home located at 204 Daniel Webster Highway Meredith, NH 03253. Condolences can be left at mayhewfuneralhomes.com. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Lucy’s name to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, alzfdn.org.
