Beverly F. Sanborn, 94, of Campton, died at her home on July 5, 2019, after a period of failing health.

Born in Brockton, MA on March 3, 1925, she was the daughter of William and Ena Pearl (Roundsfell) Bassett. She grew up in Bridgewater, MA and graduated from Bridgewater High School. She also secretarial school in Brockton. Beverly married Francis Sanborn in 1949 and resided in East Bridgewater, MA for many years. They moved their family to Campton in 1966.

Beverly worked as a secretary for the Knapp Shoe Company for many years and as an assembler for the Sprague Electric Company, in Plymouth, until her retirement in 1987.

Beverly was an active member of the Campton Baptist Church. She was a devout believer in her faith and helped with many church suppers and yard sales. She felt she lived a good life and was very blessed.

Beverly was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Francis Webster Sanborn, who died in September of 2011, and her son David W. Sanborn, who died on July 5, 2013.

Beverly is survived by her children, Susan Cheney, Linda Edmonds, both of Campton, Nancy Joy of Newbury, VT., Bonnie Beauchard of Charleston, ME., James R. Sanborn of Thornton, NH., 18 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held in the Campton Baptist Church on Saturday, July 20th, at 11am. The Rev. Michael Pelletier, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery, Campton.

What I remember most about Aunt Beverly is her abundant patience. With 6 rambunctious children, she never appeared as anything but calm. I don't think I ever heard her raise her voice. Maybe Uncle Francis did it for her. She never had a lot of material things, but she was rich in the way that really counts: a large, loving family. As she grew older, she became more and more like her mother, my Grandma Ena Pearl Bassett. It made visiting with her even more special for me. I know she's reunited with Uncle Francis now under the tender watch of our Lord.
