DATELINE: Campton, NH.
Raymond Franklin Edmonds, 65, of Route 175, Campton, died December 25, 2015 at Concord Hospital, in Concord, NH. with his loving wife by his side.
Born in Seymour, IN. on June 4, 1950, he was the son of Robert and Bernice (Humes) Edmonds.
Ray grew up in Seymour, IN and graduated from Seymour High School. He has been a resident of Campton since moving from Seymour in 1979.
Ray worked for twenty years in the maintenance and grounds department at Plymouth State College, until his retirement in November of 2007 due to his health.
Ray was a very active member of the Campton Baptist Church, in Campton. He served the church as a teacher, deacon, and as a Awana Leader. He was also very active in the community events and charities.
Ray enjoyed attending sporting events of his grandchildren, fishing, playing cards games, family vacations, playing mini golf, watching movies, cooking, fireworks on the 4th of July, Thanksgiving in Vermont, and most of all Christmas with the family.
Raymond was a very kind, compassionate, giving person that always had a smile on his face, a great sense of humor regardless of what else was going on. He put others before himself in any situation and welcoming with open arms to anyone who came to his home. He always was out to put smiles on others faces and friendly to anyone he met throughout the day regardless of whether an acquaintance or stranger.
Ray was predeceased by his brother, Robert Edmonds Jr, and his nephew Jason Rudicel.
Raymond was survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Linda J. (Sanborn) Edmonds of Campton, his children, Raymond Engleking and his wife Kelly of Seymour, IN, Charlotte Rissala and her husband Chuck of Newport, NH, Benjamin Edmonds and his wife Shannon of Derry, six grandchildren, Samuel, Keenan, Camden, Austin, Savannah and Kanisha, his brothers Art Edmonds of Indianapolis, IN., Larry Edmonds of Brazil, IN., Gary Edmonds of North Vernon, IN., his sister Roberta Kyle of Brazil, IN., and several nieces and nephews.
