Marguerite Keniston Fenton, 92, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2012, at the Greenwich Farms Nursing Home, in Warwick, RI, after a lengthy illness.
Born on January 21, 1920, in Plymouth, she was one of seven daughters of Everett A. and Martha (Savage) Keniston. She was raised in Plymouth residing on Texas Hill Rd. She attended the Sergeants one room school house, before attending the Hesser Business College, of Manchester. She worked as an accountant for the Mass. Mutual Insurance Company for many years. She also worked for the Walworth Typesetting Co. as chief paymaster from 1946-1966, then moved to Lexington, MA and worked for the Heritage Glass Co., as a works manager for many years until her retirement in 2004.
Marguerite loved to spend time braiding rugs, she learned to do so at a young age and made many beautiful rugs for her home in Lexington, some of which have been collected by her niece to furnish her home in NH. Marguerite was moved to Greenwich Farms in Warwick, RI, when she became ill so that her family in Warwick could be close by for her care.
She is predeceased by five sisters, Ruth Fletcher, Barbara Hutchins, Katherine Tullar, Marjorie Plaisted, and Martha Fligg
Marguerite is survived by her sister, Dorothy (Keniston) Kushious, of Warwick RI, and numerous nieces and nephews in the Plymouth area.Memorials:In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Greenwich Farms, 75 Minnesota Farms Rd., Warwick, RI 02888 or Beacon Hospice, 1130 Ten Rod Road, N.
