Leo Fernand Lemoine

Leo Fernand Lemoine, 70, of Avon Shore Road, died Saturday, September 18, 2010, at his home, after a long illness. Born in Danielson CT on July 16, 1940, he was the son of Clarence and Cecile [Cloutier] Lemoine. He grew up in Danielson and received his Sacraments at St. James Church and was an active altar boy until he left the eighth grade. He attended St. James Parochial grades 1-8, Putnam Technical School in Carpentry and then spent a year and a half in the Seminary, La Salette, in Hartford, CT. He lived in the Brooklyn CT. area for many years. He purchased land in Moultonborough in 1990, and has been a permanent resident since 2000. He went to work for Western Electric as an installer and continued on as the company changed to AT&T and then to Lucent Technologies. He was an active volunteer and member from 1963 to 2000, of the East Brooklyn Volunteer Fire Department, and had served as chief for ten of those years. He was an active member, since 1991, of the Moultonborough Snowmobile Club, Moultonborough. He had been a past Trail Master of the club and recently honored having a trail named after him, "The Leo Lemoine Red Hill Trail". He was a member of Saint Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church, Meredith. He was a US Air Force veteran and had served for four years. He is survived by his wife, Annette [Perra] Lemoine of Moultonborough, daughter, Jacqueline Vickery and husband Rich, of Belmont, son Richard Lemoine and wife April, of Gilford, four grandchildren, brother, Jim Lemoine and wife Suzanne, of Dayville, CT, sisters, Esther Daigneault of Brooklyn, CT, sister JoAnn Lemoine of Dayville, CT, many nieces and nephews.Memorials:In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North America La Salette Mission Center, 4650 So. Dennis J. Audet V.F., pastor, will be the celebrant.Cemetery:Burial will follow in the NH Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
