A. Paul Giblin

Paul Giblin, 66, of Lincoln, NH , passed away suddenly at his home on January 31, 2022. Born in Portland, Maine he was the son of Alfred and Edythe Giblin of Concord, NH. Paul grew up in East Concord, NH and attended Concord schools. In his youth he was an active member in the Boy Scouts, fully enjoying the skills he learned and the outdoor adventures. He also had a lifelong passion for Motorsports, especially car racing and motorcycles. Following high school, he enlisted in the US Army and served from 1974 - 1984. Retuning to NH, his skills and hobbies became career choices while working throughout the NH White Mountains and in Vermont. At Mount Cranmore, Great Glen Trails at Mount Washington, NH International Speedway, Vermont Sports Car in Burlington, VT., and at Hobo Railroad in Lincoln, NH, Paul worked diligently in marketing and business development. His commitment and expertise during his career were also valuable assets as he regularly volunteered in the local communities where he worked. Clubs, organizations, and committees benefitted from his effective organizational skills and from being a positive and inspiring promoter. Paul was a Lifetime Member of The SportsCar Club of NH. where he was a member from the 1970's to present day. He participated in every area of the club all the way to President. Paul was the Event Director from 1995 - 2021 for "Climb to the Clouds" at Mt. Washington, an auto race up Mt. Washington that attracted professional and amateur car racers. Paul lived with integrity, commitment, a quiet competence, and a passion in his career that was equaled in his volunteerism. He was beloved by his family, friends, and co-workers. "Life is Good" was the catch phrase that be believed in and lived by. Paul is survived by his family Martha Giblin Noon and brother in-law Stephen Noon of Amesbury, MA, and nephews Ryan Noon of Los Angeles, CA and Colin Noon of Amesbury, MA. Paul will be dearly missed by Lorna Colquhoun, "the love of his life". He was predeceased by his parents and brother Charles Doyen Vitagliano. There will be no calling hours and a private family burial will take place at the Veteran's Cemetery in Boscawen, NH. Friends will be welcomed to a "Celebration of a Life Well-Lived" to be held on Sunday, April 3rd, 2022, between 1pm-5pm at The "Autopac Gallery" adjoining the Opeche Inn, 62 Doris Ray Court, Laconia, NH. 03246 In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Paul may be made to The SportsCar Club of NH at http://ssnh.rallyup.com/gibby or SportsCar Club of NH, 39 S.
