Richard Bruce Funk

SANDWICH --- On Tuesday, October 22, 2024, Richard Funk, a beloved friend and family member, passed away peacefully at Lakes Region General Hospital with his sister, Cynthia Diehl, by his side.

Born and raised in Jeffersontown, Kentucky, he moved to Daners, Massachusetts, in 1969, where he graduated from Danvers High School in 1972. After high school, Richard returned to Kentucky before ultimately settling in Sandwich, New Hampshire, where he lived for 23 years.

Richard had a deep passion for the outdoors, often spending his days fishing and exploring the natural beauty of New Hampshire. A significant part of his childhood was spent with a cherished pointer dog, who ignited his lifelong love for dogs and outdoor adventures.

Known for his infectious humor, Richard had a unique ability to brighten any room with his wit. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter and cherished memories among those who knew him.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
