Joanne M. Farnham of Moultonborough NH, returned to Spirit peacefully at home at 80 years young.
Joanne grew up in Dover, MA graduated 1956. While she was raising her family, she also graduated from Nursing School in 1977, were she earned her Nursing Degree. She resided in Melrose for many years, was a summer resident of Moultonborough with her family for many years and moved to Moultonborough permanently in the early 1990's.
While Joanne was residing in Melrose, Ma she was involved in various community activities;
The Woman's Club, Lunch Mother at Hoover Elementary School where she was well known for the Best Cookies EVER!, a Campfire Girl Leader, became a Red Cross Certified Life Guard at the YMCA and was a visiting Nurse for VNA-Hospice.
Joanne was also very involved in the community of Moultonborough and belonged to many organizations including; the first LPN at VNA-Hospice of Southern Carroll County in 1994, Trustee & Friend of Moultonborough Library, Winnipesaukee Wellness Center Advisory Board and Moultonborough Planning Board. She was also a member of the Olive Branch Mount Prospect Lodge #16 Eastern Star in Holderness and a communicant of Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, in Meredith.
Joanne loved to read, knit (Irish knit a favorite), sew, cook, bake, quilt and go swimming with the Taylor Community swim group all which gave her great joy. Her life had rich meaning touching many people.
Joanne a loving wife of Herbert L. Farnham, Jr. of 53 years and mother is survived by Kathleen Farnham Lamoureux of Irvine, CA, Mary Farnham of Beverly, MA, her son's-in-law, David A. Lamoureux, John W. Norton, and her grandsons, Jonathan D. Lamoureux , Kevin D. Lamoureux and many friends.
A calling hour will be held at St. Charles Church, NH Route #25, Meredith, on Friday, February 2,
9am to 10am. A celebratory Mass Service to follow 10am. Burial Services will be private.
